A month of no pants.

Oh, pants* are great. They can be wonderful: sexy, elegant, blahdiblah.
But lately I've been feeling really uninspired by my pant repertoire– mostly because my arsenal of 2-legged garments has been whittled down to a couple of pairs of jeans, since I don't work in an office anymore.
I love jeans, believe me. It's just starting to feel like a cop out, and I think I can step up my style game if I reserve jeans for lazy days, and actual, you know, manual labor.
No Pants: day 2
Activities: Errands this morning, then a little work from home, and some housework.
Weather: low 50s, partly cloudy, breezy. In a word, lovely.
No Pants: day 3
Basically like the dress under the long jacket here.
Mine is more of a paisley, though, with little mirrors sewn into the chest area.
It's a thrifted Middle Eastern/Eastern European/South Asian dress that I've had for many years. It's super-comfortable as a sort of ethnic alternative to a bathrobe or sweats for a laidback Sunday…
Activities: once I actually showered and got dressed (around noon), laundry, dishes, computer stuff, tea drinking.
Weather: sunny, windy, low 50s.
Ready to party like it's 1959? Spring is for skirts!

No Pants: day 4.
Definitely not a day for a full-frontal photo– I'm not so sure about this whole no-caffeine experiment I'm doing, I don't feel awake until about noon, and I can't manage to look awake at all, really.
Activities: working from home, grocery shopping, driving death match through Danbury.
Weather: cloudy, 50s.
No Pants: day 5.
Realizing that April was probably the most challenging month I could have chose to … challenge myself with no pants. I'm finding that I have a good number of fall/winter appropriate skirts, and a decent amount of summer dresses. But not a lot of casual skirts or dresses that could go spring or fall. I have a bunch of skirts that are kind of fancy, definitely more office wear…
Clearly, this whole garment issue requires further analysis, and I will reserve my conclusions for the end of the month, to decide what goes and what stays, and what needs to be acquired…
Activities: working from home, errands
Weather: rain, low 50s? I don't know. It was definitely warmer this morning when I went to Zumba than when I ventured out this afternoon.
No pants: day 6.
Activities: office work, commuting
Weather: breezy, cloudy, low 50s
: little boy's leather jacket – thrifted
: black turtleneck sweater – ?? no idea, bought new, years ago
: pink & leopard print scarf – thrifted
: knit floral print, high-waisted skirt – thrifted
: pink lace thigh-highs – Marshalls/TJ Maxx?? years ago
: black knee-high pleather boots – Annie Sez, a couple of years ago
This was taken at the end of the day, hence the lack of enthusiasm.
Thanks to Hubs for photo assistance.
No Pants: day 7.
Ugh. Rough day today. Not feeling so stylish.
Had my first tension headache in … a long time … and really just wanted to wear sweatpants and drink hot tea in between naps all day.
Next best thing? A skirt made out of sweatshirt fleece.
Because, although I have now given up my caffeine fasting (it's a great cure for tension headaches),
I am not giving up on the No Pants Challenge.
No Pants: day 9. Two-fer.
Since it is now Sunday, which should be Day 10, and I am still in my PJs at 1:00 in the afternoon, I'm glad I had a costume-change yesterday and can now present you with 2 no-pants-outfits for Day 9.
Outfit #1
Activities: errands, housework, gardening (not in those shoes, obv.)
Weather: FINALLY. around 60F, and sunny! glorious.
No Pants: day 11.
1. It is the warmest it has been outside in at least 6 months.
2. I got an acceptance letter from Parsons the New School, (the art school formerly known as Parsons School of Design).
Activities: working from home, doing the happy dance
Weather: awesome. OK, gray and icky this morning, but warm, and now quite sunny.
