I'm halfway through my month-long challenge! Woot!
(scroll down for a Challenge Update)
Activities: working from home, errands, selling vintage at my trunk show (look for a follow-up article on 4/19)
Weather: sunny, low 50s.
: upcycled sweater/jacket – I cut this faux fur collar off a thrifted sweater, and attached it to this hand-me-down cardigan from my mom.
: vintage cream hippie/disco dress – thrifted. Not typically my style, and definitely not my color, but this is one of my top 5 favorite thrifted pieces. Also seen here, with the same belt (scroll down).
: wide, taupe patent and elastic belt – Annie Sez, a few years ago
: black and white vinyl, vintage bag – thrifted recently at Red, White and Blue
: opaque black tights with herringbone pattern – probably also from Annie Sez
: brown suede and patent booties – Ann Marino?? possibly. Definitely from Annie Sez (I worked there briefly.)
: necklace – on loan for the night from Piedra Posy
Don't be alarmed by the angle of the wall, there– my house is not sinking into the ground (although I wouldn't be surprised)– just a very quick and sloppy camera set-up.
No Pants Challenge Update
So, I think this will be the last daily outfit post for the month. For the remainder of my 30 days, I will do a weekly compilation update.
It is fun documenting this whole process, but it is a lot of extra work to edit photos and publish an article every single day. This blog is not my full time job, and not even my main objective for this site (as much as I LOVE it, and wish I could do it all thoroughly and consistently). Somethin's gotta give.
But, rest assured, this will leave more room for other juicy articles here.
Thank you all for playing along and leaving comments, and I hope you will continue to do so for the final 2 weeks of my pantless adventure!
Thanks to Casey at Elegant Musings for sharing her outfit-documentation-strategy during her (different) 30-day challenge. You should definitely check her out– she is a master of vintage and retro styling, specifically skirts and dresses. Absolutely puts me to shame.
