New Fairfield prom event follow-up

Holy satin and tulle, Batman!

You probably remember the prom event I participated in a couple of weeks ago.

It was a lot of fun hanging outwith the young'uns and talking dresses. And I was really impressed with the organization and presentation of the event. It was set up really well, almost like a retail boutique, and the Community Service Club thought of everything – water and magazines for parents, spacious dressing rooms, coffee and tea, and clearly marked price tags, and long plastic garment bags for purchases.

And I'm happy to report, they were really successful in raising funds for their Kids' Dress for Success program, which provides back-to-school clothing and school supplies. They sold nearly 100 dresses and raised $1,700.

This was their first time putting the event together, and I'm sure they'll repeat it again next year– I can't imagine how they'll make it better, but I can't wait to see!

I'm still available for personal styling for prom or any other special event.
