Eco Wedding Roundup
As promised, my synopsis of the EcoChic Wedding and Home Show, hosted by CT Green Scene and the Green Bride Guide.
First of all, we were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day, after many days of rain. The expo was held at the Hotel Chesterfield in Stamford, a beautiful mansion with a lovely lawn – and they had the nicest bathroom I have ever seen in my life.
We sampled some really delicious food from Nature’s Temptations and Health in a Hurry, and talked with different exhibitors.
We left before the wedding fashion show, but you can check out the designers, here.
My highlights:
- Custom Floral of Storrs, CT, who will source local, organic, in season flowers upon request.
- jag studios of New Haven, CT, really awesome candid wedding photography with an environmentally conscious studio.
- Nana Pearl’s Wooden Spoon of New York, offering organic cakes.
- Ruff&Cut of New York, jewelry using conflict free, un-polished diamonds, and recycled metals.
- Green Spot Jewelry of Boston, Mass., custom environmentally friendly jewelry, using recycled metals.
- Priti Polish of NYC, non-toxic nail polish.
- Practically Green of Ridgefield, CT (we’re neighbors!), eco-friendly lifestyle products.
You can get all the exhibitors’ info and pictures at the expo site.
**Giveaway!**
Included in our goody bags from the event were coupons for wedding services.
I have, to give away:
- 2 coupons for 20% off any hair, skin or massage service at Rimage Salon and Spa in New Haven, CT;
- 2 coupons for $10 off an order from Paper Shouts recycled paper stationery.
I will mail them to the first people who respond by email – put which certificate you want in the subject line and contact Allie {at} AnalogueChic {dot} com.
If you also write a fashion haiku in your entry email, I will publish it here and send you a free Analogue Chic zip pouch!

[...] who you are), you will notice a lot of radio silence between posts. As I mentioned, I’m planning a wedding, and all side projects are mostly on hold while I sew up my ceremonial wedding garb. [...]
